Upper-arm blood collection means taking a small blood sample from the skin of the upper arm with a single-use device, instead of pricking a fingertip. The customer can do it at home without trained staff.
Upper-arm blood collection uses a small device that the customer places on the outside of the upper arm. When the customer presses the button, a small lancet opens the skin and the blood flows into a tube attached to the device, so nobody has to squeeze a finger.
For a business that sells blood testing, this method matters because a customer can give a sample at home in a few minutes. The amount of blood is still small, so the panel you sell has to fit what the laboratory can measure from that amount.
Ask a supplier these questions before you build a product on the method.
Aniva packs the Tasso+ device into kits under your brand, and the page on Tasso+ blood collection explains how that service works. In this glossary, Tasso+ describes the device and Kapillarblut explains the sample type it collects.
