How online booking works

  1. 1

    Choose your tests

Add tests and single values in any combination, then tap Book these tests. Each pharmacy sets its own price for each test.

  2. 2

Choose a pharmacy and a day

Pick the day and the time of day that suit you, and add your name and email address. Booking online is free and asks for no payment.

  3. 3

    The pharmacy confirms

Aniva sends your request to the pharmacy, which contacts you to confirm the appointment and tells you the price. You pay the pharmacy on the day of your test. Your report is usually ready two to three days after the courier collects your sample, and the pharmacy goes through it with you. When you give the pharmacy your email address, the report also arrives by email.

Questions

Questions about booking a blood test

How is the blood sample taken at the pharmacy?

The pharmacist places a small Tasso collection device on your upper arm and presses its button, so the sample is collected from the skin and not from a vein. The tube usually fills in three to four minutes, and the device is never left on for more than five minutes.

How do I prepare for the blood test?

Drink a glass of water before your appointment, because enough fluid helps the blood flow. At the pharmacy your upper arm is warmed for about two minutes before the device is placed, since a warm arm gives the best result.

Which test should I choose?

You choose the test together with the pharmacist, who explains the options. A short check measures a few selected values, while a larger panel measures a wide set of blood values for a fuller picture.

When are my results ready?

A courier collects your sample from the pharmacy no later than the next working day. Your report is usually ready 48 to 72 hours after that collection, and the pharmacy goes through it with you.

Who analyses my blood and checks the report?

An accredited laboratory measures your values, after which a doctor reviews every report and any critical values before the pharmacy receives it.

What happens if a value is outside the normal range?

A doctor reviews every report before it reaches the pharmacy, including any value outside the reference range. Take the report to your own doctor, who can discuss the result with you and decide on the next steps.

Do I pay anything when I book online?

No, booking online asks for no payment and no payment details. You pay the pharmacy on the day of your test, and you can cancel your booking at any time by replying to the email about your appointment.

How much does a blood test at the pharmacy cost?

Each pharmacy sets its own prices, so the price depends on the pharmacy you choose. You can ask the pharmacy directly, or the pharmacy tells you the price for your tests when it contacts you after your booking.
